dining room table with storage

hi, everyone. i'm alejandra from alejandra.tv.and in this video, i'm going to show you how to organize your coffee table inside yourliving room or your family room. but first, if you're looking to get organized, you can check out my free organizing video series on my website, alejandra.tv. the linkis below. ok. so one of the problems with organizingyour coffee table is you don't have a lot of space and you might have a lot of thingsbut not a lot of space. and it's a common space. it's a common room that everyone inthe house uses so you're kind of setting up a system for everyone to use, not just likeone person. so let me show you what i do here. insteadof a coffee table, i use storage ottoman that

serves as the coffee table also but has storageinside to kind of maximize space. so on top here, i just have like photo books and thereare like coasters and really, that's it. the purpose of like not putting a lot of stuffwas because it's a storage ottoman and sometimes we're taking the top part off to get to thethings inside. and so, i didn't want to have a lot of things on top. ok. so one of the things i do to maximizespace and get things off the table and on to the vertical space is use a remote controlorganizer that just hangs over the edge and the rest of it falls into the ottoman. andso what i've done here is i've just velcro-ed this in place so it's not going to fall. butit contains all of the remoter controls like

on the side. and then what i did on the backwas i just labelled them with what they are. so this is the tv one. this one is not usedright now. and it might sound like ridiculous to labelthe remotes but when there is like a million remote controls nowadays, it gets really confusingif you aren't good with technology or you just don't have it memorized or if you haveguest over or like a babysitter over or something and they want to watch television, you don'thave to explain everything. everything is labelled so it's kind of self-explanatory. so, i did that. so now let me show what'sinside the coffee table and kind of go through what kind of stuff we store inside. ok. soinside the coffee table, i just have board

games and photos. that's like the main purpose.that's like the -- yeah, the main purpose of the coffee table. so i store all of ourboard games vertically because they're easier to access as opposed to stacked. so i justcome in here and i see exactly what games we have. and i keep them in the family because whenwe have friends over, sometimes we play board games. and so, this is just the place thatwe play so it just made the most sense. so they're stored vertically. and what i do for some of the games that likehave a really loose lid like the lid, yeah, just doesn't stay on is i put a big rubberband just like this. and so, it just keeps

the lid on. so when i pull up the game, itdoesn't -- like pieces don't fall out and stuff. and then for games where the box is kind offalling apart like this one right here, i just put a clear packing tape along the edgesso the box kind of stays intact. and i use clear tape so it doesn't cover the name ofthe game even though you can obviously see what the name of the game is. ok. so one of the things that i do for someof the board games, not really all of them, but some of them is put all the pieces inlittle plastic baggies just like this just to make it easier to clean up and easier tojust set up the game and stuff. it just makes

it a little simpler. ok. all right. so that goes there. and thenover here, there are old photo albums. so i don't really put pictures and photo albumsthat much anymore since these are just older ones. now, i'm just using these photo boxeswhich i talked about in another video and they're just stacked in here nice and organized.and then whenever i print photos, i can just put them inside here or if they're biggerphotos, i put them on the side down here. so how do you organize your coffee table?do you have a storage ottoman or do you have just a traditional coffee table? leave a commentbelow and let us know. and if this is your first time watching any of my videos, youcan subscribe for more tips on getting organized
