hello! this is dustin with home mender andtoday we are going to be dressing up an eat-in kitchen by replacing achandelier. not as hard as you would think. i'm going to show you how. let'sget to it. first, we're going to take off our oldmounting bracket. install the new. great. our little nubby. we can take our chain, open a link and hook it on to the nubby. put our chain. now we're going todetermine how low we want our fixture to hang. you can give it a hold.

hmmm...we're going to put ours right about here and we're going to make sure we give ourselvesenough wire to wire the fixture. clip your wires. i've got our little latch for ourchandelier. let's go ahead and wire through that and then that spins on. we're going to do ours so we have enough wire hanging out of the box so we'regoing to cut our chain at about this length. 1,2,3,4,5,6 down. open upthe link. remove the excess chain. now we're goingto run the light scission up through the chain before we hang our fixture. and thenut. let's thread that on just to hold it

in place. now we can connect our lightfixture to our chain just like so. wires go up through the hole. now we canpull our scission back down so we can feed our wires. feed through the scissionand you can bring that down so you can wire the light. feed them up through thehole out the top and feed them down so you can make your connections. secure ourground to our ground screw on the bracket then connect the light fixture ground. wire nut the ground and you can shovethat back up in the hole. now we need to strip our wires and get ready for theconnections. now i've got a little white stripe on my chandelier wire so i know to connect that one to the common.

let's make that connection now and lastly, ourblack. scission into place and the nut. looking good! now we got this fancydoodad that goes on the bottom. nut to secure. globe nuts come off and globes goon. bulbs. let's give it a test. working awesome. so thats it. super easy. we just replaced a chandelier and now this eat-in kitchen looksamazing. we're gonna have to make something fancy tonight.

so for home mender inc, this is dustin. i hope you learned something today and if you did, don't forget to click subscribe. thanks for watching.
