dining room chair slipcovers

hi, this is darren for melo poster and interiors today. i'm going to show you how to make this storage ottoman with a removable, lid so for all four sides, it'll be 14 inch wide by 15 inch height so for the sides i'll be glowing 1/2 inch foam all around now i'm just cutting even with the frame and then i'm gonna glue the other half inch foam right against it, right now i'm just cutting it even with the foam on the bottom so right now where i'm cutting it is the top lid area i'm allowing 1/2 inch along with in the wood this way the edge will have some padding you won't feel the wood so now i'll be gluing on the foam in the wood area so when i do press it down it'll stick so right now what i'm using is a black vinyl material. it's sewn all four sides

right now. i'm trying to get all four sides of the stitching to be right at the corner right now. i'm just locking a few staples on the bottom base, and then i'm going to staple the top part so for the top lid area i'll be putting a few staples to lock the fabric in place once i've done all the top lid area i'll be stapling the bottom base now i'm just taking out the staples. i locked in earlier and readjusting it again now i'm just cutting the extra fabric off so it's easier to put the lining on so for the inside i'll be using black cotton lining so i'll be stapling the fabric all around the four sides now i'll be using half inch cardboard using the cardboard. i'll give it a nice straight edge now i'm just the cardboard goes right into the corner

so once i'm done stapling the cardboard. i'll be pushing the fabric downwards and stapling it to the base now for the bass. i'll be using black lining now i'm using plastic light now are using this plywood here 3/8 of an inch with the quarter inch foam i'm cutting a little longer than the wood itself now. i'm using black cotton fabric plywood is 12.5"x12.5" so once i've got it in. i'm just gonna push it down so for the top lid i'll be using three inch firm foam top lid plywood is 15"x15"

now i'm gluing it down with foam glue now i'm using a thin layer of fiber, so to give that a nice soft touch to it all four corners of the lid are sewn you want to make sure the stitching is right at the corner? so i like to make sure all the corners are the same height for the lid i'll be using black cotton fabric now. i'll be using half inch cardboard you you so i'll be sleeping like this all four sides the same way so this plywood here would be a little smaller to fit right into the box. so it stops a lid from shifting around

i'm using black on fabric again for the lid so now i'm gonna put it right on top of the lid like this i'm gonna make sure it's gonna be centered all around and staple it down with an 18 inch gauge finishing nail gun so this is how it looks when i'm done so thank you for watching and if you liked the video please give me a big thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe to my channel. thank you. bye
